Borussia vs Inter Preview

Antonio Conte's Inter Milan head to Germany where they play Borussia Monchengladbach in a cluster B fixture that will decide the  Italian club's fate in the competition. The two sides had played out a 2-2 draw in their first leg fixture in Milan in October.

Marco Rose's side have performed far above expectations in only their third ever Champions' League group stage campaign. Having conceded last-minute equalizers to Inter and Real Madrid, Gladbach have made up for the drawn games with two convicting wins over Shakhtar Donetsk to move to the top of cluster B.

On the domestic front the Colts have come out an emphatic 4-1 win over Schalke04 in a Bundesliga fixture last Saturday.

On the other hand, Inter conceded to Real Madrid their first ever defeat in Milan when they went down 0-2 to the La Liga giants last week. Conte's men have shown good form in the domestic Serie A, though, with consecutive wins over Torino and Sassuolo of 4-2 and 0-3 respectively.

As for team news, Gladbach will be without winger Jonas Hofmann who tore a muscle on international duty for Germany earlier this month. Center-back Ramy Bensebaini will be unavailable having tested positive.

For Inter Milan, goalkeeper Daniele Padelli, defender Aleksandar Kolarov and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic are all out, while Arturo Vidal is out on suspension after having invited a red card in the match against Real. Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino is ruled out with a knee injury.

With Inter desperate to remain in the competition, Tuesday night's clash at Borussia-Park should make for some entertaining fare.
