Danny Rose Now Evens for Manchester United Move Updated for November 2024
Updated: 4th November 2024
Towards the end of the last transfer window, reports started in the English media about Danny Rose’s interest in joining Manchester United. The wingback has grown disillusioned at the white hart lane recently. So much that Danny Rose got vocal about it in a full on criticism of the wage structure at Tottenham Hotspur. It has since become obvious that the Englishman would welcome a move away from the London side. It would preferably be to the red half of Manchester.
His arrival was seen as a long-term solution to the club’s left back issues considering how young he was and the premier league experience he already has at nineteen years of age. However since Danny Rose's arrival at Old Trafford, he has been plagued by one injury or the other. This included a broken leg that ruled him out of contention for a long time. That, coupled with the seeming lack of trust in his abilities by Jose Mourinho has made getting into the squad a herculean task for him. Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, and more recently Ashley young have all been preferred at the left back position ahead of Shaw, but none of them are natural left backs or are capable of offering what Danny Rose can offer Manchester United.
The twenty-seven year old Danny Rose has been one of Tottenham Hotspurs’ most important players for a number of years. However it is understood the palyer has had some clashes with Mauricio Pochettino, the team’s tactician. Especially after his criticism of the club and his obvious desire to leave the club.
The player recently commented on his non-involvement in the clash with Arsenal. Danny Rose admitted that he was angry about the omission, but respected the manager’s wishes.
When at his best, Danny Rose is one of the best fullbacks in England. He will be a fantastic addition to a Manchester United side seriously in need of some consistency on the left flank. Several sources have revealed that there is interest on both sides to make the deal happen in the January transfer window.
A potential snag to the deal however could be Tottenham’s openness to losing a key player like Rose mid-season. Daniel Levy is notoriously known to be a hard negotiator. It could cost a fortune to make the deal happen. As much as Ed Woodward has shown the willingness to break the bank for Jose Mourinho’s targets, the possibility of the deal happening ultimately boils down to how important the club considers the deal and how much they are willing to go.
