Leicester City v Manchester City – November 18, 2017 – King Power stadium – 15:00 hrs: EPL Preview

Manchester City make a trip to the King Power stadium this weekend hoping to keep one of the best runs in Premier League history alive. After a freakish 1-1 draw with Everton in August mid, City have had an incredible run of 15 wins in all forms of competition which is the best by any English club in a long, long, time.

Leicester City v Manchester City Prediction

Correct Score Tip: Leicester City 1-3 Manchester City – Odds 10/1

Correct Score Tip: Leicester City 2-3 Manchester City – Odds 21/1

Foxes continue to Recover

The Foxes on the other hand seemed to be on the path of recovery. Even before the change of managerial guard from Craig Shakespeare to ex-Southampton boss Claude Puel took place. Leicester have lost just one of their last seven Premier league games. It was a 2-3 result to Liverpool in September being their only loss. They have won three EFL Cup games on the trot.

Under Puel, all four men upfront – Jamie Vardy, Vicente Iborra, Demarai Gray and Riyad Mahrez have found form and vigor and goals, too, of course. Kasper Schmeichel also seems to be doing some of the best goal-keeping of his career, pulling off match-defining saves.

A Rampant City could be hard to Stop

But will Leicester City's changing fortunes be enough to stop a Manchester City attack. Spear-headed by the likes of Sergie Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Leroy Sane, Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva?.

City have banged in as many as 52 goals from their 17 outings in all forms of competition this season. This gives them an average of 3 goals per game.

It's hard to see this momentum getting stopped at the King Power stadium. It would take some really stoic defending on the part of the hosts and the likes of Vardy and Mahrez producing their best to reverse such an outcome.

Pepe Guardiola's City have just emerged from an emphatic win 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Etihad and before that a breath-taking display in their UEFA Champions outing at Naples, Italy, thrashing Napoli in their own backyard 2-4.

Leicester City v Manchester City Verdict

Despite the Foxes digging themselves out of the hole of relegation by way of some noteworthy performances of late, it would be too much to expect them to garner the three points needed to elevate them from the 12th spot they presently hold, after Saturday's game against City.

Both of Leicester City's wins in the previous couple of games have come in their dream title-winning season of 2015-16. The Foxes are nowhere near that level and Manchester City are a different animal altogether this time.
