Leicester vs Man Utd Preview

Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City and Ole Solksjaer's Manchester United lock horns for a much- anticipated FA Cup quarter-final clash at the King Power stadium on Sunday, March 21st.

The Foxes have just come out of a thumping 5-0 win over Sheffield United last weekend and will be looking to make the most of a home advantage this weekend against the visiting Red Devils.

Solskjaer's men, on the other hand, are on a high following their 0-1 win over AC Milan away at the San Siro and their subsequent qualification for the Final eight of the UEFA Europa League. Paul Pogba, who had missed the last month and a half through injury, was the stand-out player in Italy as his lone goal and inspirational play helped United progress.

Team news

Rodgers will be seriously handicapped without his key players Harvey Barnes, James Maddison and James Justin all out owing to injuries. Wes Morgan is sidelined through injury as well while Dennis Praet could possibly make a return to the squad after having recovered from a two-month long hamstring issue.

United, on the other hand, are boosted by the returns of Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek in the midweek. Whether Pogba will be fit enough to play the entire 90 minutes remains to be seen but there is a chance of him being able to start.

Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial are doubts for Sunday evening's clash while Phil Jones and Juan Mata are likely to remain sidelined. Marcus Rashford had to be taken off at half-time against AC Milan owing to an ankle issue and his appearance at the King Power is a 50/50 possibility.

Leicester City probable XI in a 4-4-2 formation: Kasper Schmeichel (goal); Timothy Castagne, Wesley Fofana, Caglar Soyuncu, Ricardo Pereira; Marc Albrighton, Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans, Ayoze Perez; Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho

Manchester United probable XI in a 4-2-3-1 formation: Dean Henderson (goal); Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Fred, Scott McTominay; Bruno Fernandes, Daniel James, Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood

Leicester City vs Manchester United who will Win?

With their key players missing, Leicester City might well be below their best what with ace striker Jamie Vardy's form in front of goal a cause for concern of late. Manchester United will have problems in the goalscoring department too, with the likes Martial, Rashford and Cavani not available but they are a much better side with Paul Pogba now back in the reckoning.

Manchester United have been absolutely dominant in the last ten encounters between the two sides. In fact, they are undefeated in the last 13 meetings and have won 8 of their last 10 matches against the Foxes with two matches having ended in draws.

The previous occasion these two met was in a Premier League clash in December when they played out a 2-2 draw. United look the more likely side to progress to the semi-finals with a probable score line of 1-2.
