Jurgen Klopp is staring at a daunting injury list ahead of his home encounter with Leicester City for a Premier League clash on Sunday night. Most of Jurgen Klopp’s defence, which had the likes of Virgil van Djik and Favinho is sidelined, with Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Thiago and newcomer Rhys Williams lengthening the list of doubtfuls.

Upfront, the absence of key scorer Mohammad Salah testing positive will be a major blow ahead of November 22nd's critical game.

Brendan Rodgers' has his own troubles too at the back with Caglar Soyuncu, Ricardo Pereira and Wilfred Ndidi all ruled out. Left-back Timothy Castagne could however return.

The Foxes after having lost back-to-back home games to West Ham and Aston Villa in October are back with a bang with wins over Arsenal, Leeds United and the Wolves in straight succession and have moved to the top of the points table as a result.

After a bright start to the season with three back-to-back wins, a 7-2 thrashing by Aston Villa completely unnerved the reigning champions and with mass injuries in its wake, Liverpool have been far from their dominant self – drawing in two and winning just two of their last Premier League outings.

In the absence of Mo Salah, the Liverpool frontal trio will compose of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and the in-form Diogo Jota. The back line will have Robertson, Joel Matip, Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams who could just recover in time for Sunday's clash. James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum will fill up the midfield space.

For Leicester, the attack will be led by the iconic Jamie Vardy who already has found the back of the net on 9 occasions so far this season. He will be joined by Harvey Barnes, James Maddison and Youri Tielemans who was a star performer in his country Belgium's successful run in the Nations League. The defense will comprise of Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans and Christian Fuchs while the goalkeeping duties will be in the hands of Danish custodian Kasper Schmeichel.

Liverpool v Leicester City Verdict

Vardy & co would well like to prey on a weakened Liverpool defense at Anfield, but given that the Reds will be playing on home turf, Sunday's affair could end all square. The last the two sides met, Liverpool were able to steamroll over their opponents 4-0 away at the King Power stadium.
