Manchester City v Liverpool Preview

All eyes will be on Sunday's clash between title-holders Liverpool and runners-up Manchester City as the latter head into the weekend on the 10th spot, 5 points behind their table-topping rivals.

Liverpool are in red hot form having come out of an astonishing 0-5 away win over an in-form Serie A side Atalanta away in Bergamo, Italy while City too have sent clear signals across with an emphatic 3-0 home win over Greek side Olympiacos in mid-week Champions' League fixtures.

The Brazilian is very much in contention to start in the side's attack along with Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden in a frontal three.

Sergio Aguero is unlikely to be back in action soon while Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho are also ruled out of Sunday’s clash.

Apart from this, Pep Guardila has no injury concerns as such. The signing of Ruben Dias from Benfica seems to have made an impact on City's defense.

The good thing for City is that the 23-year old center-back has seen his partnership with Aymeric Laporte blossom big time. But their real test will come over the weekend against an attack that has found its peak form.

Klopp has injury concerns with Virgil Van Djik and Fabinho absent for quite some time in the defense. Key players Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita seem doubtful too.
