Milenkovic, Varane interest Man Utd, Mbappe & Haaland heading for the Premier League Updated for January 2026

English Premier League Transfer News & Rumours or March 2021.
Manchester United boss Gunnar Ole Solksjaer is on the lookout for a dependable central defender what with the inexperienced Alex Tuanzebe, an injury prone Eric Bailly and the likes of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire inconsistent at the back.
The Norwegian may have found one in Nikola Milenkovic who is currently a center-back with Serie A outfit Fiorentina. The 23-year-old Serbian's contract with the Italian club lasts till the end of the 2021- 2022 season and latest reports suggest that he is tempted to sign for United.
Italian daily La Repubblica revealed that it would take 35 million euros (£30million) to get his signing done in the summer transfer window.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has given his “transfer blessing” for French international Raphael Varane who will be out of contract at Bernabeu in the summer of 2022.
The 27-year-old ace defender valued at £70million is suddenly on United's radar as he has made it amply clear that he does not want to ink a new deal with Real after the expiry of his contract in 2022.
Zidane would have ideally liked to keep the defender and tie him down with a big-money deal at Bernabeu but the La Liga giants are in danger of losing the center-back for free and hence open to the idea of selling him this summer itself in order to earn a hefty transfer fee.
Mbappe is wanted by Real Madrid while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of his admiration for the PSG star. Haaland could well be on his way to England this summer what with clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea evincing interest in the Dortmund star.
If the transfer of the two players were to happen, the amounts involved in acquisition could be astronomical and could lead to some of the Premier League's top clubs shipping out their current stars.
Lastly, Premier League clubs are mooting reforms to the transfer window that would permit players under the age of 21 to leave on loan after deadline day.
Ahead of the 2016-17 season, FIFA had scrapped the emergency loan window that allowed players to leave their clubs on a temporary basis, even though the transfer deadline had passed, to protect the sporting integrity of the game.
Restrictions have stood in the way of opportunities for young players in senior football. Proposals are now afoot to formulate rules that allow the youngsters to leave on loan outside the summer and winter transfer windows.
