2020-21 Premier League Golden Boot betting candidates preview: Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane & Jamie Vardy
Premier League Golden Boot betting Preview
The bookmakers are still wagering on Mo Salah to finish as the top scorer of the Premier League for the 2020-21 season.
Mo Salah at 9/4
Mohamed Salah is the Premier League Golden Boot betting favourite
The 28-year old Liverpool striker already has 13 goals from his 17 outings in the current edition of the League. Despite injuries to key players of the Liverpool side, Salah has missed just one of the 17 Premier League games the Reds have played so far and has featured in more games than his partners upfront viz.
Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota.
Along with Sadio Mane, Salah looks the fittest player of the squad going ahead but the return of the prolific young Portuguese striker Diogo Jota from injury probably sometime in the middle of February could eat into the share of the Egyptian's potential goals.
Liverpool's top striker has now gone three League games without a goal after scoring in four back-to-back games in December.
Mo Salah’s chances of ending up as the Golden Boot winner are at the present 22 per cent compared to his immediate rival Harry Kane's 20 per cent. With the winner of Golden boots for 2017-18 and 2018-19 saying that he intends to play “every minute of every game” going forward, the race for the Top scorer of the season is very much on.

Harry Kane at 7/2
Tottenham talisman Harry Kane is Mo Salah's closest challenger with the English striker having got 12 goals from his 18 appearances so far.
Tottenham talisman Harry KaneKane is surprisingly ahead of team-mate Son Heung-min as far as the bookmakers' choice for the Golden Boot goes, even though the South Korean international has an equal number of goals as the Englishman.
The fact that Son got half of his dozen goals from his first five games but laboured to get the remaining 6 from his 12 outings following that, may have weighed on the minds of the bookies.
Unlike Salah, Kane has maintained a consistency in his goal-scoring, finding the back of the net on both his last two outings in the Premier League against Leeds and Fulham.
Both Kane and Son have featured in all of Tottenham's 18 Premier League fixtures so far in the season. Kane the winner of the Golden Boot in 2015-16 and 2016-17, who spent most of his time on the benches last season owing to prolonged injury bouts looks fit to feature in all remaining games of the season in the 2020-21 edition.

Jamie Vardy at 5/1
Jamie Vardy of Leicester City and last season's Golden Boot winner is third on the choice of bookmakers to finish as the Premier League’s top scorer this time around, too.
The 33-year old striker already has 11 goals from his 16 appearances in the current season so far. After a flurry of goals in the beginning of the season when he got nine from nine, the aging scorer has struggled to find the back of the net of late, getting just two from his previous 7 outings.
But it would be foolish to underestimate the scoring abilities of the former English international and with opportunities for penalties coming Leicester's way, there could be plenty of goals coming Vardy's way.
