Post the international break featuring the UEFA Nations League, the focus will once again be on the English Premier League, the major weekend highlight being the forthcoming clash between the two London giants Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham will see the return of the likes of Harry Kane, Del Alli, Eric Dier and Kieran Trippier from international duties for England. Same applies to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris (France) and Toby Alderweireld (Belgium), both of whom will be figuring in Saturday's Wembley clash.

Missing out for the Spurs will be the Argentine duo of Erik Lamela and Juan Foyth. The pair are currently away on international duty and are due to play Mexico at midnight (BST) on Wednesday and will return to England on Friday morning giving them little preparation time for the London derby.

Back from international assignments for Chelsea will be Eden Hard (Belgium), Alvaro Morata, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marco Alonso (Spain) and Antonio Rudiger (Germany).

The Premier League showing of the Blues under new manager Maurizio Sarri has so far been commendable with the side yet to lose a game in the 2018-19 season although the last outing against Everton was a less than satisfactory result in the form of a goalless draw.

Despite that, the South London club has managed to stick to the third spot on the EPL table with 28 points, just one ahead of their Saturday rival's 27.

Spurs, too, struggled in their previous Premier League fixture with Crystal Palace with Foyth saving the day for the Lilywhites with a late winning header.

The Wembley clash promises to be an enthralling affair with two major forwards, Hazard and Kane pitted against each other. Both are coming out of brilliant performances in the Nations League and respective fans will be hoping for encores on the 24th.

Both sides have shared even honours from the last 9 times they have met since 2015 with Chelsea winning 4 and Spurs winning 3.

A draw on Saturday would be enough to keep the visitors in the 3rd spot, so a win for Tottenham is a must if they are to vault a place above Chelsea on the EPL table.

Betfair odds:

Tottenham to win: 17/10
Harry Kane to score: 1/1
Chelsea to win: 6/4
Eden Hazard to score last: 11/2

Although the odds are evenly balanced, Chelsea could have a slight upper edge considering that the only two games Spurs have lost at Wembley this season were to the other two sides of the Top 4, Manchester City and Liverpool.
