Defence isn't going to Help
Pulis has stubbornly stuck to his favourite 5-3-2 formation that doesn't leave too many attacking options. Going into Saturday's home clash against Chelsea, the Baggies will seriously need goals.

Only One Shot on Goal
The Baggies lost to a 10-man Huddersfield side and not just that, they were able to manage just one shot on target. Strikers Jay Rodriguez and Salomon Rondon have only three and two goals respectively to their credit. The fact that they are the top scorers speaks a lot about the Baggies' paucity on the scoring front.
Morata back on the Scoresheet
For Chelsea, the return of Alvaro Morata to his scoring ways is a relief. his goal against the Manchester United in the Blues' 1-0 win being the Spanish striker's 8th for the season. Antonio Conte will in all probability line-up the usual suspects. Eden Hazard, Marco Alonso, Morata, Fabregas and Bakayoko, upfront Conte will take no chances at the Hawthorns. He needs three vital points to stay within the top four.
The Blues are presently just a point behind 2nd placed Manchester United and 3rd placed Tottenham Hotspur and will fervently hope that the latter will drop points from their tough outing at the Emirates against Arsenal.
West Bromwich vs Chelsea Match Verdict
Despite their 16th place on the Premier league table, Tony Pulis's men have fared comparatively better at home, losing just one match to leaders Manchester City and staying unbeaten in the remaining four. Their 2-3 defeat to City was the closest anyone came to holding Pep Guardiola's rampaging outfit. So, it may not be a cakewalk for Chelsea on Saturday.
The bookies’ favorites to win the November 18 clash are distinctly the visitors, but one cannot rule out surprises. Chelsea have won three of their five previous encounters with the Baggies and their only defeat was a 0-3 way back in May 2015. But that was a Chelsea going through one of their worst seasons in history.
