When a horse you’ve backed to win finishes 2nd, William Hill will give you your stake back in cash, up to a maximum of £10.
Important terms:
- Bets must be Singles and only your first bet on the race will count
- Selections must be odds of 3/1 or bigger to qualify
- 4 or more horses must run in the race
1. The basics
b. This promotion runs from 08:00 until 17:50 (UK time) on 27/07/2021 (the promotion period).
2. How to take part
a. To get your cash back, during the promotion period you must:
· go to any qualifying race;
· add any single selection from the ‘Racecard’ race-winner market to your betting slip; and
· place a bet using funds from your main balance.
b. Only races with four or more runners will apply to this promotion.
c. Only the first bet you place on a race will apply to this promotion.
d. The bet must be placed, or settled with Best Odds Guaranteed (where bets are settled at the best odds we have offered that day), at odds of 3/1 or more.
e. Bets you place using free bets (whether for the full value of the bet or just some of it) will not count towards this promotion.
f. Bets placed on the ‘Unnamed 1st or 2nd favourite’ market, or on the ‘Ante Post’, ‘Future’ or ‘Tote’ markets, it will not count towards the promotion.
g. If you cash in your bet at any time, you will not be able to take part in this promotion again and will not receive any cash back.
3. Cash back
a. You can only get one cash amount back per qualifying race from this promotion.
b. A maximum of £10 cash (or the equivalent in another currency) will be added to your account as soon as possible after the race (or within 24 hours at the latest).
c. The cash you get back is calculated as the total amount of the bet you placed less the total returns. For example:
Example 1 – Place a £10 win bet on the horse at 5/1 that finishes 2nd. Customer will receive a £10 cash adjustment;
Example 2 – Place a £5 each way bet on a horse at 3/1 (1/4 odds) that finishes 2nd. You will receive a cash adjustment of £1.25 (£10 stake and £8.75 returns = £1.25 cash adjustment);
Example 3 – Place a £5 each way bet on a horse at 10/1 (1/5 odds) that finishes 2nd. You will not receive any money back as the bet has won £5 (£10 stake and £15 returns).
d. If your bet is an each-way bet, only the win part will be returned as cash.
e. If the race ends as a dead heat for 1st or 2nd, you will not get any of your stake back.
f. If the result is changed at a later date, it will not count towards the promotion.
