Indian Grand Prix Preview And Prediction
Updated: 29th May 2023
Formula 1 returns this weekend with only the second ever Indian Grand Prix take place from New Delhi and the stakes could not be much higher with just four races to go in the season. This Grand Prix is the penultimate race to be held in Asia this campaign and is one everyone is looking forward too.
Many now believe that the battle for the Drivers Championship has become a two man race between Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso, with the former being the favourite to come out on top, due to his superb form at the moment.
The German has now notched up three wins in a row and as he is the only driver to have one on this circuit in the past, will feel extremely confident about more success this weekend. Vettel's victories could not have come at a better time and now he is searching for another win to move away from Alonso.
For so many weeks it looked as though the title would be heading to the Ferrari driver, but a few poor performances have seen Vettel pounce and now the Spaniard is six points off the pace.

In truth, it does look as though Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton might be out of the running for the championship, but they will both fight until it is mathematically impossible.
One of them will need to put a string of results together and hope that Vettel and Alonso make a few mistakes in the process.
Supporters are sure to come out in their thousands to watch this Indian Grand Prix and with it being only the second year New Delhi has hosted the event – it is tough to know just what to expect. One thing is all but guaranteed though – entertainment.
It has been a superb Formula 1 season so far and this race does looks to be no exception.
It is likely to be a very competitive race and finishing on pole position in qualifying could be key. In the end, it will be Lewis Hamilton who comes out on top in this one, but it may not do a great deal for his title hopes as Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso will continue their consistency and finish in second and third respectively.
